I am a postdoctoral fellow in Heidi’s lab in Boston and work on our awesome WALLe project: I study the effect of vagus nerve stimulation on locus coeruleus activity and subsequently on markers of Alzheimer’s disease using 7T fMRI. My background is in mathematics and neuroengineering, I have developed brain-computer interfaces and used them to study cognitive processes, and I have classified and modeled cortical responses to different types of stimulation (sensory, electrical, optogenetic). Workwise, I have a soft spot for all things related to brain imaging, cause-effect relations and closed-loop systems, as well as their clinical applications. I hope my research will help to pave the way for novel treatments for Alzheimer’s and related diseases. In my free time I love to travel, enjoy making new friends, explore the outdoors (hike, bike, walk, swim, ski) and indulge in good food in great locations |
