Elouise Koops I am a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Heidi Jacobs, and I will investigate tau propagation throughout the brain in aging and Alzheimer's disease with PET and diffusion MR imaging. My background is in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience, and previously I investigated the neuroimaging markers of aging, hearing loss, and related auditory conditions with structural and functional MRI methods. Ultimately, I hope that my research can aid the development of methods that can prevent the progression of tau and the emergence of the cortical neuropathology that is characteristic of Alzheimer's disease. In my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening, and currently, exploring the city of Boston and all it has to offer. |
